Sounds a good plan Dave, if its not for a 205 LOL!
Its quite a strong smell when stationary but I'm not noticably losing any real fuel from it, just hope I can find it and stop it.
Getting an unburnt (I think) fuel smell in the cabin when the car is idling... 1.2 8v btw
Its fine when driving along, but when stuck in traffic or sitting at traffic lights for a while it comes through the vents (If I turn the blowers to 0 then I get no more smell)
Any idea what it could...
Oh god what for???
Yeah I wanna change mine soon so may aswell do them both. Think from memory they are only £24 from renault :) result a cheap fix (for once)
Ah tits, sorry had someone on the phone asking me where it was as he had a high idling 1.2 8v.
Wonder what it could be then?
Cheers for the reply (that also explains why I could find nothing out about it) :)
Hey mate, I had a thread on this when I did mine, basically the basic mk2 ph1's do no have the fuse to allow the main beams to come on with the high beams, so when you pull the stick towards you and put on high beam, that is all that is on.
This isn't a problem really, and aparently it'll go...
Hey Ben, I dunno if you know but my car has been like this for ages, just havent got around to changing the sensor yet, its aparently very easy though :)
Just a heads up, if you get it, dont pay someone to fit it, I've got axel stands and a decent jack, can do it around here.
Its a good looking car bar the wheels (but those would be worth enough to get you a set of what ever you wanted)
The steering wheel is a bit of an odd one if I'm honest, the seats say it has only done the 46k mileage, but the wheel is fubar'd so god knows, some tasteful mods (the wheels and...
Halfords do a very good one mate, plain black, nice and short.
I cant remember the exact details of it, but from memory the ph1 aerial thread is 1mm smaller than the ph2, 7mm maybe? Go into halfrauds with your aerial and just compare.
Dont drive the car without gearbox oil in mate, go get some and top it up asap.
I had this exact problem when lowering my car a month or two ago.... Was it the passenger side you knocked out by any chance?
I found that the drivers side was very well held in, but the passenger side just popped...
RPD197 - You can take my place if you want? I unfortunately now have a funeral that day it seems so I wont be attending, so if you just pay the deposit as normal then all will be fine and no one has to worry about adding any one to the booking.
Hope this is ok, and I'll be there in spirit...
STILL haven't got the drivers side switch to control the passengers but thats because tbh I have no idea until I have a good look at yours or someone elses....
Yeah course mate, whenever is good for you tbh, I'm free quite a lot atm. Would be good to get some random carpark pics, so many pic...
Mate if you were closer i'd wire them up for you in a heart beat, had to do so much phaffing around with mine that I could do it with my eyes closed tbh.
Yeah Darren...
