Anyone had any experiences with these guys?
I can't seem to find the 172, do they no cover it?
When getting a quote you have to type in the model manually and it offers you options as you type, i.e you type "clio" and it offers "clio authentique, clio RN" etc....
Only need a day's worth to...
Take off the door card, see whats going on, if the cable is all mangled up, remove the mech and check the motor still spins, if the mech looks fine, but motor doesnt spin when you press switch, first try a different switch, then try a different motor.
Car's looking pretty wicked, especially for £35 Tunst :)
Good list of mods so far, once you've got that paint done, give it a damn good clean and polish, then get some pics up without the 'orrible exhaust.
EDIT: Screaming out for a dynamic/cup spoiler though.
Can't you just run small spades into the connector on the spoiler?
If you can see two pins inside the connection, just run it with two male pins into the connector on the car, then two females onto the spoiler with connecting wires. load of leccy tape to ensure no water gets in. Done.
I don't believe the mk1 is the same, but I couldnt say for sure....
Oh and James, pass being slower is quite common due to the way they are wired (pure genius)
Oh my, I dont think there will ever be a better clio on CS (or in the world ;) ) tbh.
Cracking! That wheel really does make the interior look so new!
EDIT: One thing I'd change though, keep the front plate the same height, but make it 100% length so it fills the recess.
^^ as the non smoker says tbh....
I've had to put mine back to standard so I could sell... It was a mega pain in the ass, but if you've made all the changes yourself it'll all come out easier than it went in, as you know exactly what you are doing...
Can make you a lot more money too :)
Re: clio won,t start
Sounds silly, but try disconnecting it for 10 mins, and then re-connecting it.
I had to disconnect my battery the other day, then randomly after a short drive, it wouldnt start. Disconnected, then reconnected 10 mins later, worked totally fine.
Very nice exclusive you've got here, wheels look standard which is always a good thing. Car looks nice and original too :-)
Oh and love the YMCA number plate! Lol!
Mike did you try swiftcover? Even if the quote is expensive, they cover lots of mods as standard for young drivers. (Or at least they did when I was insured with them two years ago)
Doesn't look like it's going ahead, just hope no one turns up without looking at this tbh!
We need to sort it out south east! People say they're coming but don't check the thread or confirm nearer the time.
