Sounds like it could be a coil, if it is it's a prety easy fix - not sure on the price of coils these days but they cant be that much!

Have you checked the rear light cluster's sealing properly. Water can migrate quite a distance!

This is how mine sounded when the valves didnt seat properly. My brothers 65 does this - rev it hard and the injectors throw a wobbler and bring up the EML and then refuses to start after you turn it off!
