Is there any time the 'old' timing belt can be reused? Mine was only done 5000 miles ago but I'm concerned the dephaser is making noises, damn forum!

The difference putting the new track rod end on is quite major (IMO). The front feels tighter. Need to get a cheapest new/used exhaust next. As for the meet over here, that's a definite!! Would be good to see another one (never seen one!!)

LITTLE big update, passed her MOT today. Only a few advisories such as the paper machet exhaust and my silver bulbs going funny. Apart from that all good, and I'm well chuffed! Really don't like mot time. gotta say who I use for MOT's because they are really good, even adjusting the headlights...

You need to drill out the rivets at the bottom mate.

Track rod end was £16, not bad really! Much better now, just want to do the other side next! Yeah I'm debating which colour to do them.

Well today was fun.... Thanks to a good friend of mine, finally got around to fitting new rear discs and pads, due to the old bearings being ruined and the discs being shot. see what I mean?! The pads were just as bad, having a lip at the top. so that's all done now, just gotta get it mot'd...

Also does this plastic 'shim' come off? Is that the backside of the bearing (first part into the disc) thanks!

If your buying off eBay, there are some good ones, cheap ones are ok. Just avoid these, the seller is terrible...

As above really. Will be doing my discs hopefully soon. The bearings I have ordered I believe come with only one circlip. Is this correct? Or should there be two, one on inside of bearing, one on the outside. any help is greatly appreciated as always!

No nothing. Just plug the aux cable into the phone, set the stereo to aux, the make a call. My iPhone doesn't even need to be on loudspeaker for it to work!! Definatly :cool:

Aux in cable if you have the right stereo. Update list? great for plugging in iPhone/iPod etc, also doubles as an in car phone system when making a call. Comes through the car speakers, and the other person can hear you clearly! Bonus!!

Re: My 172. Also, the wheels are for swaps! 182 alloys wanted. Mmm if only you were closer, abd wanted silver 182 alloys, and I knew what they'd look like on mine!
