Imo paying out well into four figures to insure a 172/182 isn't worth it at all. I waited till I was 21 to get a fast-ish car. Insurance was reasonable, if i'd have done it at 18/19 i'd have been skinted each month.

I said it was 3 years for it. My old boy had his done at three years too (by renault) his mileage was no where near 36k back then (ages ago) so it wasn't the mileage factor.

^ you have a 172 cup, so unlikely to have climate control, so it's easier to do, therefore a fair bit cheaper. Then they'll probably say £300 for the aux belt, so basically a lot more than a speacialist.

They never did one, there was talk about the makers possibly making some as the demand for one seemed good, I don't think it ever got off the ground though.

Yep that one is shocking, I'm convinced it was for sale when I was looking for mine. If it is it's had about six owners.

I'd pay the monies too, if they fook it up they'll (hopefully) be insurd so you'd get new stuff (or someone else would clean it for you)

From what I understand, it doesn't affect the premium, it will affect the payout in the event of an accident though. It will also be written off if the damage doesn't cost that much to repair (it's beacuse it has been crashed before)

Maybe get a set of recaro's from an evo or something ?? They will be cheap, but won't be a direct fit (would need the subframes)

They are coated, if you wanted to refurb them you'd need to get the coating off. I've heard that getting the coating off is a complete ballsache. Mine could do with doing tbh.

Cambelt 5 years or 72k (whichever is first) Aux belt 3 years or 36k (whichever is first) Your looknig at about £500 for them from a specialist (for the pair, not each) I'd have them done asap & a full service too.
