Mmm interesting thread. I haven't noticed any negative effects at all, but louder on throttle. No power loss tho. Might put it back on just to see, it's such an easy job.

Jay, I've noticed a few I've seen run only one caf to the fog light area and leave the other open. I'll be trying that personally first.

There are noises I hear all the time. Mostly paranoia that something will go wrong tbh. Is it a cambelt off job to have water pump done? Costly if so? Just won myself a ph1 box so I hope to have it soon. You done yours yet?

What was the noise you were having?

Set of sportka bumpers, nice wheels (oem) and lower. Done. The bumpers fit straight on, there was no difference in lights, bonnet or anything. Get a sportka rear bumper and put a centre exhaust through the reverse light hole.

Does the gearbox clunk going into first or all the time in all gears? Mine clunks sometimes going into first which apparently is the exhaust manifold tapping the subframe. Might not be an issue (saves you sons money)

Yeah the engine had no top end, and I had problems gallore!!! Now if they'd put the zetec s engine in that would've been awesome!!

I had a sportka years ago. Great fun to drive! 1.6 8v tho.
