Rear tyres are about £100 -150 each for the proper Michelin's. Servicing, apart from the cambelt it's not that bad really.
Insurance is under £700 for me.
You'd get used to the atttention they get.

Renault will just say it's wear & tear on the pads. Unless there is something majorly wrong they won't be that interested really.
I'd get new pads on it asap & if they have scored the dics, get those done too. Sorry, I can't agvice on up-rated pads etc.
Yes they do have to re re-wired to be the right way round, fubars guide shows how, although unless they are on here they'd not realise about it.
Mk2 ph 1 rears are gash, they were the first thing to go on my car, I had phase 2's on it within a week.
