Hi Ben. Long time buddy. Good to see you're back on the scene.
Iron x works quicker than the Deironizer but deironizer can be left to form a gel on wheels and then blasted off taking brake dust with it. Iron x is a liquid so I've found I tend to use more.
Wash->Tardis->wipe...
Lime Prime was "all the rage" a few months/years back. Things have moved on hence you don't hear many people talking about it. IIRC it was my, Russ' and Gally's favourite cleaner for a while.
Detailing moves on so quickly which is why Russ has to keep abreast of new companies and products like...
One according to John@PB's calcs.
Snow foams vary in the amount of time they cling. That's all. Talking about ph neutral ones of course.
I use two. Meg's hyper wash for standard washes. G101 @ 1/10 ratio as a pre cleaner that strips wax for reapplication. I don't see any need for anything more.
Valet pro and Autobrite lances are much of a muchness. You'll be hard pushed to spot any major differences in operation. You won't be disappointed with either.
Yeah Auto Finesse would be my push Jay, as Dave has mentioned. I would offer my services, but I am looking for a detailer myself as I don't have the time :(
LOL! s**t news mate!
Yeah still have it, although it's getting bumped, bashed and broken into/wing mirrors stolen off it in Londres, so trading it in sometime into the New Year. I needs something similar so might go for a newish Focus.
Because they see you as a risk? Surely paying £8k for your own insurance would make that very apparent...
If you expanded on why you need to drive the 182, it would probably help. Is it a friend's car, or family etc? If so, the simple method would be for them to put you on the policy as a named...
Which of course you'll give away for free to someone on DW to test and review first, before releasing it to the general market...?
There are specific interior cleaners but you can also use a diluted APC. Remember the Megs APC I used on the clio fella?
Lovely colour, or at least it would/will be after a decent polish. Do love these cars, just wouldn't go near them after the 3.2 Brera a friend has. Let him down more times in the first 2 years (brand new) than my Clio ever did! And that's saying something!!
Just had the mirrors ripped off and paint scratched. So no. It's not worth it in London. It'll be up for sale in the New Year when the weather gets better and I can clean it up a bit.
Nice update boyo. Can you PM me with how much Kelly's session was? A mate of mine is interested in getting into the detailing world, but purely on a friends and family basis (his Dad has a Fezza Dino amongst other nice bits!).
