I would stay clear of 476. Very dull wax and if longevity is all you're after (not looks) then go 845 insulator wax or fk1000p. Both will last 6 months if applied correctly and cared for.

You can still use it fella. If it goes like that scoop up a small amount and hand apply it, warming it in your hands first.
Temp fluctuations will alter most detailing chemicals sadly so indoor/temp controlled garage is a must.

As Russ says, the PC is old now and there are better machines out there.
However, I still have mine from at least 7 years ago and see no reason to upgrade for the moment, purely due to the lack of use it gets (finishing down the VAG family fleet when I get around to doing them!).
