I don't think i've ever seen smoothed out mk1 bumpers, i'd imagine that smoothing them out is quite a task. I think they look ok just colour coded but with the black rub strip parts.
Colour code the spoiler & door mirrors on it (maybe the rubstrips & door handles too) Get a set of phase 2 rear lights too. That'll make it look spot on.
The usaul stuff as per a clio really, exhaust, filter that sort of thing, then move onto cams etc. Or do an engine conversion ??

To re-thread the wire, you'll need to pull down the cars headlining (the grey carpety stuff above your head) then follow the wire, probably a bit of a pain to do, but it's not somethnig you'll need to do again.
Whats wrong with your radio aerial ?
I'd go with getting all the parts sorted first (if your still going to do it) then get the spacers.
