Being a student I think you should go with a more reliable car which is cheap to run etc. If the valver goes wrong it'll bite you in the wallet big time. It was hard for me to get a mint one about six years ago, I dread to think what the majority of them are like now. There are a few nice ones...

TWR were involved in developing the mk1 that's why people mention them. The vee is also the reason they went bust. He has dropped the price since last time, as when it was on before he wanted going rate excellent condition not cat D money.
