The new scrolling is incredible. Who'd have thunk something so simple would make a massive difference to browsing.

RAM makes a huge difference to the Intel machines.
I'm now rolling with 12GB in my 27 and it's mental. Having had just 2GB in my old 2007 iMac, then upgrading it to 4GB, you'll notice a big difference mate.
100% do it. Then buy Lion.
Photoshop CS5's amazing. A re-toucher's wet dream.
It's not cheap, but the best stuff never is. That's why you've bought a Mac after all. ;)
I upgraded my whole Creative Suite from 4 to 5 and Photoshop's had the biggest overhaul by far.
Parallells works fine on mine now. Had a few bugs but I'm all good now.
No problems with Steam either? :o
Also, the Magic Trackpad finally makes sense for the iMac. lol.
I love the way with Macs it's just the one cord. In that pic I posted, you've got one tiny white cord for each machine.

Weird, I much prefer the newer type. My old C2D MBP had one of the older type and it split twice because the cord came out horizontally.

Both take 2x AA's dude. They last ages too... and I use it for 8+ hours most days.

They actually really beefed up the internal speakers for the 27", if that's what you have.
It just struggles with low-end stuff. I wanted a B&W setup, but at £400+ it's a little pricey.
I went for the Swan M10 setup after some heroic reviews I read on MR. You'll need a step converter to run...
