a fair few peeps on the thread have made them and sold them on, i bought some a 2 quid inc postage off one of the geezers in the thread
it took 2mins to fit the washers and the problem was solved :D
i would recommend doing this instead of grinding away at the strut tops
come to think of it it could have been one of those horses that sneaks around at night disguised as a badger!!! it was a fooking whopper, i think i dragged it half a mile before it let go
i got the bumper from the stealers and found a radiator on ebay for peanuts which saved me a far whack! the air con condensor was bent but not pierced so i managed to reallign it and then slip the new radiator in behind it! my hands were cut up to fook tho due to the notorious lack of space in...

have you cosidered having the air feed behind the upper grill instead of the lower grill, as this would supply the same amount of air but with less distance to travel (and less corners/twists in the feed)
