Fella, it depends what you want - if you're one to wash the car without fail every week, and top up protection regularly, buy a wax.
If not, and bare in mind winter is pretty much here, go for a sealent, saving the wax (looks) for the New Year and summer :)
They do the same thing. Waxes tend to look better and provide better beading, but don't last as long.
Sealents offer a better basic "seal" on the paintwork. Depends what you want chap. 845 will look better than FK1000p, but might not last quite as long.
Just to point out, it says sprayed from the Showroom, not the factory. Much like a few locals that had their Porsche/Rarri/Audi wheels powder coated a different colour from the place they bought it from.
But he is still a tool.
Just the inability to fold it so it forms a new clean surface.
Also, a trick for next time, Dave, put the piece in a bowl of warm water while you work with the other piece. Keeps it warm/warms it up and makes it pliable.
Apologies, I missed the point where I was not chilled? Lol at getting arsey because the thread has turned into a hate fest since the addition of the chav kit!
<3 the 18 y/o Jason.
Looking at those photos of the back end again, it is such a shame that the front is such a hash/fugly. They really perfected the back end after the addition of the tailpipes over the 197's design.
Unless you're about to sell the car, I wouldn't bother with "quick fix" techniques.
If it bothers you, get it done properly. It will be more worth it in the long run.
Ours are the same (ours being S3 8Ls), but they go (along with coilpacks) after just a 255bhp remap... I know you'll look into everything - sod that, I know Fred will look into everything (;)) but still worth a mention.
This won't rectify the issue buddy. Water, frost, polishing etc will all take the paint out, so you'll be back to square one in no time.
Where is the scratch and how bad is it?
