£782 !! Mate I was in your shoes a few years back with an old 205 GTi, I loved the car (still do till this day) but I had to let it go as it put me into major bankruptcy. My advise is get rid of it..pay off any debt then get a new/nearly new car.. it works out so much cheaper in the long run.

My exhaust pops a bit at idle... I think its just cause of the mild (less than wild, but more than normal) cams..

I got a replacement ball for 7 quid.. quite cheap. so thats 14 quid for a new set of balls..

The ones in the dashboard are tweeters.. they just play the high notes.. Then there is 1 speaker in each front door.. then there are a further two in the back next to where your rear passengers put there feet. so 6 speakers in total

Err, what about the possibilty that the wires running to where ever you are tapping power off are not thick enough to run more than 5amp and the fuse blowing is stopping your car from going on fire.. hence the entire point of the fuse box

The sideskirts appear to be screwed (well 1 screw at least) and rivited on, and possibly bonded.. lol to be honest after I saw the screw and rivits I though bugger that..

lol, bounce the car.. and if it keeps bouncing for a bit afterwards the shock is gone.. if it stops bouncing quickly and settles its proably alright, but do a visual inspection for signs of leakage.
