Anyways boys,back on topic.
Trophys are now selling for £12500 on the autotrader website. So the price of them is no different to the original cups and 172s when they came out.I do think though a few more may buy this outgoing model and garage it more than the others seen as its the last...
They do more tests of supercars than almost anything so i dont think they would be biased towards 1 15k hothatch
I think they believe its a great little car.

With the turbo and extra tourque the meg should show its colours on a straight, but on a good stretch of a/b roads i would imagine there wouldnt be much in it.The meg would be quicker overall though on a few D/Cs and roundabouts

If its an 05 you should get warranty for nigh on anything. After its a year old things start to come off of warranty lists.
Tell them you pulled of the drive and it went pop otherwise be ready for a £400 bill

My old 172 caught this. Its the famous rattle when you go through 4k on the revs and it gives a rattley vibrating noise. It was the centre section iirc and replaced under warranty. My 182 is rattle free so far

This happened to me once on morrisons car park. This time it was 2 chavs in a fiesta and they promptly told me to F off.So i left and drove round the car park and watched them walk in.Parked the car and keyed every panel.
Harsh but worth it

Jonnyboy. When the 172 was released it took on lots of cars in the mag like the leon and ctr and won both for all round fun and ability. They then took a mk 1 on for a year and a mk2 after that and drew there conclusions, like the 4k rattle and all the stuff weve been used too.
To say the 172...
Very good when they do this.I like the way they say theres a 3 wheel clio looming in the mirror, even though the M6 is being thrashed round a tight italian road
Could this be the best hatch ever then.I bet lee and a few others are happy with their purchases.

Yep all journos on the take mate? There testing 2 renaults:confused:
Im sure the overspray didnt weigh that much more than a standard bonet And its 2 cars being tested on the same day with proper timming gear and all the stuff compaired to a motorway slip road which you want us all to...
Evo tested the mk2 againt the willy when the 172 came out and guess what?
Now imho the evo drivers would show anyone here a clean set of heals in a 1.2 never mind a 172
The mk2 won,Only just mind. They used a mint willy against the 172 but it was beaten 0-60 ,0-100 ,100-0 and the 172 lapped...
You dont get any better do you;)and its funny how all the willy owners cars who harp on about it are not standard.

If you like old school and can do without your toys then the willy would seam an obvious choice to me ,especially if your a true clio fan. What better way of saving a few grand than to chop in for a cheaper car and have the same driveability.
If i was house hunting then i would go for it

There isnt one.If you leave your car outdoors overnight you will loose your wax,you have to keep on top of it.Even in a garage it will ware off.
I wax mine at least twice a week if that helps and its garaged
