I used to have a play with one in my old 172 and i would have the edge up to 100 say and then he would close in.all on a private runway of course;)

172 engines are a tight fit and run quite hot.So imho it would be best to go for a panel filter because it is close in the engin in its own box, away from the heat.An open induction will just suck in hot air.
If you are flush get a viper kit or groupe M induction kit.A panel could give you...
I wash mine with a sponge and about 6 caps of halfords shampoo.I leave it for 10 mins and then chamois it gently.I get on the floor and blow the water out from the number plates, wing mirrors. The spoiler pack on the rear is prooving to be a big problem,so it gets left for a good 10 mins with...
Its good busines for the dealers to give out this motability sh*t i think.
If its like a normal lease then you pay the residual loss and then the dealer takes it back and makes a killing on it 2nd hand because of keeping it clean and limited milage.
It only seams to work for the spongers...

My mate owns a valeting bay and he told me something like you said above r-jay.He told me autoglym super-resin and then leave it on the car for 24hrs and then add a zymol(halfords stuff)and or carnuba wax
Doesnt the resin polish have a slight cutting effect on the paint though??

Keep the clio
The fiesta will loose more money whilst your away. The clio will be the same price when you get back and your in love with it.
Nice to know after travelling your comming home to a car that you love and its cost you nothing in the time youve been away.

I think what they mean is that the rover 200 was so piss poor, its hard to imagine something half decent comming out of it,just by adding some kit and stiffer springs
