For a reason! I love them.
You can tell they're softer than the PE2's because they ride better. But not so much that you'll notice when pushing on. Not at all.
I'd be happy with extended Applecare and a 32GB Touch or 16GB iPad as compensation.

You find it harder to get PE2's anymore, they're discontinued.
I have a full set of Pilot Sport 3's on now, and they're epic! Same as a PE2, but better in the wet and quieter.

Standard bonnet needs spraying and has a ding on the front which can't be removed since it's in front of the bracing.
Plus, I got a carbon bonnet for free.

I dropped a mug on my first MBP from about three feet. That wasn't so tiny. :o
FYI, if you iSight camera would decide to pack up, they replace the lid and LCD, free of charge. Ahem.

As Ali says TBH. I remember the days of Ali, Alan, Immi and me all having our 1.2's and we did some weird stuff to 'em. Ali had lexus lights FFS.

I've had one before, but had the washer jets in the scuttle panel. Bad idea, since they don't reach higher than 6" up the glass. :o Ah well, I was young.
