The Pro-Drive version looks quite mean. Dark wheels etc.
Those are down to the primer, so will not budge with SRP or Scratch X. I wouldn't waste your time/money and just look at getting smart fixes or the panels resprayed.
That's fair enough, but it doesn't clean the engine bay. Spraying that all over the engine will also just make it greasy and messy within minutes of driving.

APC is correct. WD40 and "some kind of solvent cleaner" is very wrong.

If you want protection from the elements, wash, dry, clay, polish, seal/wax.
If you want protection from chips, bumps and scratches, get it Paintshielded (thin plastic layer that peels off when it needs replacing).
Dave, anyone with a yellow/orange/bright red (mine!) car is going to have this issue more so than others :(
There is no real way of beating them, apart from taking the car into the garage once washed.
On a serious note, RR are best for showing gains, not actual BHP. So if a company does some work for you, get them to show you graphs before and after, like Paul at RS Tuning does.
