I like it, love the sears & harnesses plus it'll look mint once the rears carpeted out.
I'd go for a small alcantara steering wheel next (means loosing the air bag though)
Loads on ebay, just make sure you get original brushed aluminium ones - not some rubbish someones painted up, I think I paid around £25 for mine.
If not ebay a mk2 172 from a scrap yard.
I love mine to bits, i've had it a month tomorrow. I spent a few months looking for one, as most were rubbish, or just sounded rubbish on the phone (most sellers only buying it to say they'd had one  )
You can't compare a v6 to a 182 at all tbh, they are totally different cars.
^
Sod that, I guess I was lucky as mine were new (she'd had renault lexarse ones fitted from the factory) I paid £21 all in.
ebay or a scrappy all the way !
If it hasn't has the cambelt done (which it should have by now) your looking at circa 1k fotr that !!
The coils (which always seem to go) are circa £50 each - remember there are six of them.
When I was looking I found that most who had only had them a short while (like you plan to if you get...
I wonder whrere i've seen this thread before ;)
Lol, that car is bmw m3 phoenix gold (bmw puke gold) so the dude on the first page was right.
There is no way i'd touch it:dead: plus his asking price is just laughable !
There is one in that colour - it's in Japan though (respray job too)...
Gumby - yeah they did, never seen one on the road though (no real surprise really)
Noodle - i'm considering getting a mk2/trophy spoiler for my mk1 vee - that one looks awful though. There's no way i'm bidding on it, not matter how cheap it is.
If it were in better condition I may have bid.
It is a trophy/mk2 v6 spoiler as the seats from that car are also on ebay.
It would need a respray anyway - unless you were planning to put it on a trophy.
You will need the bulb holders for the new lights, the bulbs & that's it - you will also need to do a minor bit of wiring though, a guide is on here.
Thebest place to get them from is either a scrappy or off ebay.
Fantastic, i've just looked though the whole lot:) What camera were the pics taken with ?
Loving the blue mk1 vee
No idea what's going on with that kitted up cup (the one with the snow plough front bumper !)
Ooh taxed till the end of april - wow !!
The ad is pretty rubbish tbh, I had difficulty reading the text due to the ebay background.
That shark fin looks proper s**t on it too.
Yet another dealer who doesn't seem to have a full idea on what they are selling.
Just read RichMcc's story - what a bunch of inbred scum bags  Scum like them really piss me off to say the least, just because they don't have a nice/decent car they are jealous ! It makes me sick tbh.
I went round my mates house the other week (he lives in a bit of a dump, he even says...
