Anywhere between 3-4k will get you a very very nice one, 4k (ish) will probably get you mint example. The newest williams (willy 3) is a 1996 - so you gotta remember that in three years time, the best car available now could end up a dog. A normal williams will be an L reg (1993 - so already...

Just buy another steering wheel, or get an aftermarket one. It'll prob cost the same as getting it re trimmed anyway.

Much better than the plain boring blue ones they come with (I did mine last week) bought a set within a day of getting the car. £18 delivered is a bargain, I think I paid about a tenner more (fooking ebay lol) Next up is the silver door bits for me.

There's a set of ap 4 pots from a clio v6 on ebay (not sure if they would be any use though) Personally I too think that the standard set up on a 172 is more than adequate, my dads are really sharp, much sharper then the ones on my vee (standard ap 4 pots) even my brembo's on my ex 20vt...
