    Detailing advice please...

Correct :) Don't think I have ever had a bad experience with pads. MFs on the other hand vary massively. If I ever stray from cyc ones, I always do the CD test :)

Yeah, another good shout, I was going with ease of bobbing into Halfrauds rather than online :)

    window overkill?

barely use my wipers fella, benefits of machine polishing, even without wax. This is sad, but I put the wax on about three weeks back because I couldn't sleep and wanted to see how good it would repel rain when not driving lol :S Kiss arse. ;)

    Detailing advice please...

You say that ;) Agreed on the LL apps, but there is such a massive range/choice.

    window overkill?

I have never been a fan of these supposed rain repellents. I clay, machine polish with SRP, then wax if I can be bothered, something like p21s (R222) now.

    Detailing advice please...

Drying wise, have a look on somewhere like i4detailing or cleanyourcar for their plush water magnets/MFs. Applicators, the SRP will be fine with a megs applicator pad from Halfords. If you are getting serious, then there are better ones out there, but again, they will be more expensive.

    Waxing/cleaning my clio

Lol, don't buy a black car ;) If you look in Halfords there is an orange shampoo called Megs Gold Class Shampoo, that is your best bet. For any other information, have a look in the rest of this section of the forum, or in the guides section.

If they said the paint was "spethal" then I would agree, pisch paint! Black cars are awful to keep clean. What advice are you looking for OP?

    Detailing advice please...

Depends what you are after chap. MF wise there are millions out there, usually buy a shed load from Costco for general use, specialist after Paint Correction are from on of the detailing online shops like i4 detailing or cleanyourcar. Applicators, same really. The Meguirars ones aren't to...

Tom when will there be an Iphone 3? Any ideas?

    Omnia HD, is out.

That line reminds me of the jargon that Vodafone and RIM put out about the BB Storm. What a load of rubbish, last time I buy something that is meant to go one up on an already excellent bit of kit. iPwnd.

Re: 10,000K travelled, 1 Island, 1 toyota corolla 1989, 1.8 diesel SE - gap year edit Do it sooner rather than later mate. Time escapes you. Said I would do it again around 2010. Then came the job. Then the other half, etc.

Gally I knew as soon as I saw that you had posted that that was what would be changed lol. Markie. Detailing business means somewhere to do it, indoors, products, insurance, paint depth guages etc. Market is saturated mate, no point. Do it as I do for a little bit of extra cash/fun/hobby.

Ah Mark, welcome to the £££ Club ;) Remember the family's birthday/Xmas presents money? Gone!!!! Do not take all of it as gospel. There are people on there who will spend money on products rather than food and running water. But read the guides and take all with a pinch of salt. Or just...

    Swissvax hoe, Stage 1 done.

I think you used to be able to Rich, but no longer. As Ali stated in a recent thread, Swissvax have cut out suppliers, so it is only direct now. Might be worth a contact email to ask. The other thing to do is do what Christopher and I were thinking of doing; split pot with someone local!
