its getting exhaust on the 19th from JP, ive just lent the magnex thats on off winston...
il be going back to paul either before or after that, whenever he can fit me in :)

Started early today, just bolting stuff back together....
Nice and cold as usual...
Got it all back together by about lunchtime, then jump started it off another car, fired up first time....thank god!
Sounded like it was running perfect, so took it for a spin round...

i cant even describe how much better it is than the valver head, so much more power mid range to top.....im sure its blowing from the manifold/downpipe joint too....but im not messing with it until the weekend....
all in all it was worth the work.....so much better to...

Got it all back together and fired it up around lunchtime, started first time.... :)
just had the exhaust sorted-ish to try and stop it blowing, but its reet and drives nice!

LOL at whats been happening while ive been outside, oh well....here goes, its all good news btw :)
Started by removing the head from the block, to see only two cylinders had been firing...
Then upon closer inspection it seemed the exhaust valves had touched at one...

its alright lol, will get it off and give it a test, replace what needs to be, then i definately know all the valves are good, then drop it back in, shouldnt take too long i guess!

yeah i have decided to, just to be safe loll.....head bolts are out, just waiting for someone to come down to lift it off with me....head and both manifolds still attached, f**k dropping it after coming this far!

just stripped the head down, cams and tappets out.....all the valves look the same height, none lower than others, dont know if i would notice that like.....anyway....
i need to do a compression test again i guess, is it ok to turn over on the key? or not... i...

it seems cylinder 2 is a bit down on compression, and 4 is dead, so it must be the valves in those two. luckily i have spare valves lol, just about to lift the head off now to see

cylinder four is 0, yes, zero compression, lol....f***s sake, just about to take the head off now
