I don't understand it either, in fact i've been to a few vw shows in the past & didn't realise that was part of the look tbh, i thought the cars/buses were just knackered.
The pic of the silver beetle with the roof rack & chrome hubcaps cracks me up - look at him trying to make it look as if...

totally agree with you comment's there fella. I remember I spent about four months about four years ago looking for a decent rs turbo (ideally wanted a 90 spec erst, but would have settled for a mint fiesta rst) had to admit defeat in the end:dapprove: - hence how come I ended owning a mint...
Saw it heading towards Angel from Old Street roundabout about 8pm (tuesday) it was a few cars behind an Alfa 147 gta  (I was admiring the gta then I saw the trophy a few cars back)
Me - I was on a big red bus:( (the 43) going to Monument from the gym.
I was just going to make that comment - i see its still riding on the xr3i dog legs ;)
It looks cracking apart from those wheels- maybe some multi spokes on it would finish it off ?
Mofo - I do understand about the sleeper idea (I didn't realise you were talking about that idea tbh:o ) & if your serious about it & have the money to do it then I would go for it:approve:
As FM says you'll need the brakes etc as you want it to stop. I know of some people who shove in a...
Persoanlly i'd save the money and buy the car that the engine actually came in:)
By the time you've messed about having an engine conversion & insuring it its prob cheaper to just buy the 172;)
I know a lot of people moan about insurance (not you) but it'll work out cheaper in the long run...

I think what he means is as a 172 cost less in the first place than a normal 172 the prices on it will be lower than the normal...
Having owned a standard valver & driven a mk2 172 a lot I think the valver does sound better, both inside & outside:approve:
The 172 when cained is very loud inside:dapprove: but tbh it doesn't sound that great:( - it does however sound nice from outside, as my dad has proved many a time.
Looks as good as ever (shame about the dent though) but I read your getting it sorted.
I'd get some clear fogs on it mate, as I don't really like then yellow ones.
Recently I have started to get a blue error screen when closing the pc down (using windows xp) the message says that some hardware hasn't been installed properly, thing is we haven't installed anything on it at all:S
only my bro has put a couple of games on the pc.
When I re-boot it it comes...
I never realised that 306 was on top gear (I realise it was on there now from reading what people wrote about it)
I pulled into the car park a few weeks ago & it was there with the blokes sat in it.
Still not my cup of tea at all tbh.
so is it not a k800 then :clown:
seriously, loads of people do it, the worst is people selling their car on there, they put in random stiff, like gti- not cosworth etc.
I saw this car in Romford last week, parked up in the car park I somes times use for the gym, it had two asian lads in it who were trying to look cool in it.
I did have a quiet laugh to myself at the car;) Not my thing tbh.
That one on the peach coloured scooby is just plain disturbing !!!:dead:
Some very nice looking birds there, but some not so nice ones as well by the looks of things !

which one ?? as neither look to be a standard colour to me, the one on ebay has glitter in the paint  & the other one's just pink:dead:
The only silly colurs they did were dyno rod orange (there were a few done in that colour) plus a few done in a solid orange - very rare.
