Rear camber shims, buying, advice on how to!

Not 100%, they are pictures from a member on here that bought them from whiteline but ended up not fitting them as the garage fitted something different for his rear camber . . .

    Car Wash Plans for Weekend

Yeah if you want to, but remember, if you get anything, however small, on the buffer head it will severly mark your paint work. I wouldn't, but I am a clean freak ;)

Rear camber shims, buying, advice on how to!

It is a mk2 ph2 clio D4ve, had thought they should look something along those lines. Could they be used to adjust the angle of bolts somewhere on the rear beam??

    Car Wash Plans for Weekend

Claying and sealing? Two totally different things lad. I would suggest sealing it before waxing as the sealent will bond to the paint work much better than a wax will, meaning you won't need to polish away contaminants as frequently.

Rear camber shims, buying, advice on how to!

OK, hopefully I might have these camber shims for the rear of my car on the way. I have no idea what these things are meant to look like. Can someone tell me what is involved with fitting them, whether a novice can fit them and if not how much some kind soul on here/local company would charge...

    Car Wash Plans for Weekend

Yes it would, but safest option would be for him to drive the 5 mins to yours :) Also, once polised you need to protect. wash -> clay -> wash -> polish -> seal -> wax for depth Suggest EGP, Jeff's Acryllic or CG Blitz. Jamie

Ill get some pics up soon lad, both mine were apparently even to start with. Tweaks setup -1 deg camber, standard tracking and the three top allen key bolts are all facing forwards on both sides. So from what Steve said (don't quote me as it all goes over my head!) to run neg camber you need...

    Drying towels

Disclaimer **skim read thread** When a drying towel has dried out it will repel water more than soak it, especially when there is very little water on your car. When I come to drying the car, I put my three/four towels in a bucket of warm water. This soaks the towels. I then ring them out...

Rear FK shocks a bit "crashy"

Koni online by the looks of things . . . http://www.koni-shock-absorbers.co.uk/koni-product-list.php?md=287 Yeah, have only noticed it over the last couple of months. Best way to tell? Nothing came up from Birchdown today/yest?

Rear FK shocks a bit "crashy"

Cool, how much Jords? And do you think that is going to help, or is it going to be the springs?

Rear FK shocks a bit "crashy"

Can I just upgrade these to Koni adjustables? If so, how much is it likely to cost for a ph2 non sport? Fronts are fine, and even better now the AST top mounts are helping them dampers out mahoosively! Cheers for any thoughts. Jamie

    Polishing cloths

It is more the drying machine that causes the damage tbh, but better safe than sorry.
  24. J

    Polishing cloths

Just a quick un, if you put microfibre cloths in the washing machine and the dryer they will "de-charge" themselves, meaning they will never be as good. Leave them to soak (I do this with all my kit, not just MF towels), hand wash them, leave them to dry in an aired space (airing cupboard...

Standard fits fine, have to be machined (87pence) for difference types of coilovers, but isn't difficuly Jords, mate, tis a shame, they rock!
