There are no advantages. However, if he wants a replica then the cost is usually not an issue. All in you are looking at around 500-750 for parts, around 1000-1500 for spraying. Then wheels, xenons at 250, fogs, splitters around 75, the list goes on and on mate.

All the same mate, no difference in bolt size, that is only for the hubs when ordering coil overs. HOWEVER, you will need them machining if you lower in coilies as these require a different size (I actually don't know if it is the top hat for the spring, or some other part!) Jamie

My reason for buying them lad ^^^ Compbrake ones are around 70 quid a side . . . so why not go for the adjustable AST ones!

Dave, Mine are being setup at Demon Tweaks. It costs 60 quid for full camber, castor and tracking to be done. The top mounts were fitted by Birchdown. Think it is about an hour to fit, but my car was in for a service with them as well, so now idea on pricing.

Have to say, for non adjustable top mounts, the KTec ones are quite expensive! ASTs were 150 delivered with castor and camber adjustment.

When my car battery was starting to loose its power mine did this. Changed the car's battery and had no issues.

You can replace them, stealers will charge you 150 quid a side plus parts at 30 quid. You could get solid top mounts for less. Is your car lowered?

Might be worth looking into FKs or second hand sets or H&Rs lad.

There have been a couple of group buys for the AST top mounts. However, currently KAM racing are struggling to get hold of them (not by any fault of their own). Best emailing them on here or on the site, see where they are up to, and taking it from there. Jamie

I would be worried about getting the same angle mate, but guess you are going for looks. Probs just the camera angle but really doesn't look even :S

Wheel on its own is around 10kg for a 172 mk2 ph2 wheel if that helps at all.
