Welcome to the club. Valvers are cool (I had one for three years) just make sure you get a good one otherwise they can be expensive, so check for bills etc for any work done - like clutch etc. Also check the rear arches as they are prone to rust.

I think he means that they stand out too much. The fonts aren't standard are they ? In the pics they almost look like the plates have been photoshopped on to the car, imo.

I can't see how it would be difficult:S they are only about three years old tops for the oldest ones. If you were after a mint valver/williams etc it would be harder to find one of those.

He has a mk2 172 & he wants to keep the car looking standard (no visible exhaust pipe) who is there out there ? If the worst comes to the worst he says he'll have the pipe sticking out under the bumper (he doesn't want it cut to fit the exhaust) It must be a decent stainless steel cat back...

can't you remove the rear seatbelts as well ? that way if there's nothing there they can't moan about it.

if some one fits the alarm & they aren't qualified then it won't have the cat 1 status etc.

Yeah I have seen loads of cr*p motors like that like normal 106's & corsa's totally standard on steelies, with with the lexus lights. I have always thought they look sh*te tbh.
