Could be the caliper binding together. This happened to one of the rear brakes on my williams the wheel was red hot and eventually the disc cracked in half lol.

Yeah Fuchs stuff. I got the service pack of opie oils and went for the Fuchs good price too.

Nah pics are very deceiving mate theyre screwed i think they are still on the original paint from new and yeah they are 15s nice cheap tyres.

115,000 i found it by pure chance whilst browsing auto trader it was only 20 mins up the road too.

Thats what i thought. The guy from the garage that i bought it from said he wanted rid of it asap as he does'nt like selling cars like them thats why he punted it so cheap, I wasnt complaining :D.

Thought id start a project thread and put pics up as i slowly make changes to it lol. I bought it for £1300 with 115,000 miles on the clock and nearly a full renault service history about 3 months ago and it's in a good condition for it's age but there's bits and peices that need tidied up...

Keep it and do it up the longer you keep it in a good running state and cosmetically good it's gonna go up in value thats the way i see it anyway.

Near enough standard ph1 here apart from the usual uprated tyres and brakes as you said.

Yeah really easy to fit all you need is some self tapping screws really. It's not a perfect fit as it needs trimmed at each end once you've screwed it on but apart from that it fits good.

I dont thinks it's aftermarket as such. Looks the same as the 182 mani.

Do it mate finishes the front of imo, and for 11 quid it's a cheap mod and piss easy to fit.

Thought i'd put up a few pics of my 172. I bought it a couple of months ago now for a price i couldnt turn down and i'm loving driving it. Mods so far: ITG panel filter Samco induction bend 6000k H.i.d's Ph2 rear lights Skoda front splitter C+C welcome.

I've tucked the box right back behind the headunit and brought the cable through the ashtray does the trick and looks neat.

My brother has a ph1 initiale runabout and it has the same wood trim pretty mingin lol
