my car does exactly the same as above, i have to constantly pull the damn thing back in line and on fast tight corners it just doesnt feel safe/feels very vague (not that i do it often)
took mine down to joshydee and he showed me it wasnt track ends etc. he also said that there is no movement...
Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
i really dont see the point in putting a 2l into a car that has a 1.8. it's completely pointless i tell you! why not just stick with the 1.8 and give the 2l to someone you know with a small engine as a late xmas present?
;) looking forward to this being up and...
the light behind my fan speed dial has gone on my centre console. now only the directional dial and hot/cold dials are lit with the standard orange light . . .
how easy to fix is this and what bulb is required? if it is a bulb!!
cheers
jamie

Re: Mk1 Hybrid Project
god almighty! if my engine wiring loom goes again (and its a renault so it will tbh) you ok to fix it for a rack 'o' ribs with JD sauce??
no worries chap, best thing is to make sure paintwork is entirely dry, then use the heat from your hands to make sure it adheres to the surface properly, meaning there isnt much chance of it peeling.

yeah that also reminds me, i had an RS grill fitted and that was also replaced without question.
come to think about it the only mods that have been declared that have caused anyone at zurich to think twice have been the coilies and thus far no mods have caused an increase in my payments!

most tapes are quite smooth lad, i go over my tapes that have stuck to paint work and they dont budge, its only when you get a lose end the sticks up that i worry, but have never had tape catch round the pad.
i dont believe it can do that much damage to the pads either so i would worry too much...
