my brothers mates got one of them too, also in silver,
when he rang up for quotes no company would have it that it wernt a 16v !!
i think that they are pretty rare.
very true mike,
secondly look how much some of them cost !!
not exactly a fair contest, i reckon the clio did well as most of them cars cost over double the price of it !!
what colour is the dipstick ?
as willaims have a blue or white dot on them.
a 16v has a black dot on it.
(i know that this my be irrelevant, but its likely that they would keep the dipstick with the engine)
i held out for 2 months for a standard one,
i was looking to pay up to 4k for one !!
i managed to look at 4 in total, a black early phase 2 L reg with only 22k on it !!! my god it was bad !!
then i got my blue valver, which cost 3600.00, i ended up getting it from surrey (i live in romford)...
i know how you feel mate,
i had my valver done by some f*ckwit, i guessed they did it as it looked good, so they thought yeah well ruin it, mine wernt even a new car..
so i guess your gutted mate.
im 23 with a standard valver, i dont see the point of tuning it,
so im getting a fiat coupe 20v turbo instead,
and 810.00 f/c to insure, what a bargain (23 with 2 yrs ncd)
they were more for me, they said admiral had the best quote (which they did)
so i went on to admirals website & they turned out cheaper, than what confused had quoted me for them.
admiral, elephant, bell etc are all the same company under the admiral umbrella.

as daz said, you cant go by the photo, as all sh*tters look ok in photos,
to be honest mate, you are best off going to look at in the flesh,
have you compared prices on autotrader ?
i remember spending two months looking at standard valvers, unitl i found mine, that was 2 years ago.
my mate done that, he went 5 gt turb, clio valver, fiesta rs1800 & then he bought the 5 gt back off his mate.
the 5 is mildly tuned & feels loads quicker than my standard valver, thing is he said the 5 isnt too good at high speeds, it would easily p*ss me up to about 8* odd though.
my valver was on 91k (i got it on 78k) when oil pressure pump gave in, then loads of other stuff happened & the lump was seized 9no i diddnt carry on driving it, it all went at once)
I had it replaced for a lower mileage one (66k .. or there abouts) and the cambelt & tensioner done while it...
im not a fan of that car either !!
however its a show car, so it highlights their skills as to what they can do (which seems almost anything)
i saw jets astra (big rim) down southend once, what a beast.
oh yeah the web site is good, its got nudey women on !!
