i agree, there is no way its grp 12 mate, god knows why they reckon that- a valver is grp 12 !! a mk4 1.25zetec (75bhp) is only grp 5, as my brother has one. a zetec s (they only came in 1.6) is grp 8 and they are 103bhp. the hightest grp is the rs1800 & fiesta rs turbo, they are grp 15/16.

im with elephant, £464 f/c on a standard valver, im 23 with 2yrs ncb ( i have mummy as a named driver) i reckon its an excellent quote.

i knew that admiral and elephant were the same, so i tried both sites to see if they differed, they didnt, i went on confused and they quoted me £50.00 more, god knows why, i reckon it must have been their commission, as they r supposed to search out admiral, so really they should have been...

id check that they have the details from your reg correct (if u did it that way) as my mate got a good quote on his s2000, but when he checked they quoted him an an accord !! that was with confused.com

to be honest at 18, unless you drive sensibly, you would probably end up crashing it, a fast car and lack of experience - its more than likely you would ruin it.

i dont blame you mate for being so p*ssed off ! ive been there before, some people are cnuts ! some ither do it on purpose, or like most cant be bothered to walk past it at a safe distance, hence their zip (or whatever) scratches it.

a dude i know paid that about 3 weeks ago for a pre reg, with no miles on it. its blue, but i dont know if its got climate.

i have a lot of respect for them too, my car has been there twice now, the 1st time for a new clutch & a service. then it was there the other week for a new engine, as my one fcked up the other month, all in all they are good lads, and really know what they are on about.

i see from your car description that you have a 53 sport 172 ? so your car has zenons then, unless its not for your car ??

to be honest i wouldnt offer them any thing for it ! i would walk away & find one else where. a dude i know has just bought a 53 plate pre reg cup, with no miles on for 10.5k that was 2 weeks ago, plus there are still pre reg cups for sale.

i spent 2 months lookking for a standard 16v, and when i found a good un, it had the leather in it too. dont give up on it, as the good one may be just around the corner also although you want a willaims now, be aware that there are some rights dogs of them out there too.

i read that the 1.8 16v is 1018kg. and i know your not asking, but a williams is less.

that looks loads better, i put a williams gear knob on my 16v (the car is blue) as that looked sh*te too.

i got my valver back on friday night, iafter the enging died about 6 weeks ago, i went for a drive yesterday afternoon to check all is ok, when this old twa*t in a corsa decided to cut me up on a dual carriage way ! he basically decided to pull right out in front of me by cutting the lane...

halfords do an alloy refurb kit, ive never used so i dunno if its any good.

ive seen one silver one, once on the A127 i dont remember whose it was though. i normally see about 4 a week (they are prob the same car) LOL!! i notice them cos if the colour, as it stands out a lot, plus a dude i know just got one.

i reckon colour coding personally, and light (slight) tints, that is a well mint car,and ony sublte things would look cool. one other thing why is the ariel so long ? mines an ph2 valver & my ariel is a lot shorter.
