ive fitted a new thremostat, and the 2 pipes into the matrix get very hot, but no heat comes out, well only for a bit when i close the vents,and open them again the heat only lasts for about 30 secs, and ive flusehed it thru. so do you reckon i need a new one too ??

the actual matrix was £25 from bb performance when i looked a while ago, but fitting it is where the big labour cost is, as they wanted something like £250. unless you do it your self then it will be al ot cheaper

i wouldnt worry about them, mine are cut both sides so the light doesnt work.

mine sounds like a diesel when i start it up from cold, but then it has magnatc in it, it didnt do it before that went in , and i wont be using that oil again !!

excellent, cheers ben they are not flopping about, they are abit loose about the front, they do not sit lush any more (they stick out by about 1cm) ill have a look to see whats going on, cheers mate !!

richy, yeah there is - well its not a design fault, but you can buy a new clutch pedal for it, which is supposed to have eliminated the problem, i got told this when mine went. i just changed the cable when mine snapped last september, and its still fine.

i agree with steve, 2nd gear is the nuts !!! but yeah you do have to keep it on the boil around the 4000 mark, other wise they are a bit poo !!!

i dont know about the irish plates that much, apart from what ive already posted, id check with the dvla, but i doubt if there is problem as you see loads of cars in the uk with irish plates on, mercs especially (MBZ....)

WIL are irish plates, as are the ones with Zs in eg, MAZ... MBZ... they also begin with I, so IUI, IJI etc my mates dad uesd to have NIL 1*** and that was irish, so really they arent personalised, they are well... irish !

true, i just got quoted £1800 on a 172 and £1700 on a cup, dunno how come the 172 is more, i think ill stick to paying £935 for my 16V .... for now !

id get a quote on the rsi and the valver, then you can see how different they are, i personally would go for the 16v but then i am bias <<<<<:D

apart from one company, whose name i cant remember said it was grp 16!! i fell of the chair laughin !! i was like a higher group than an rs turbo, s*d off !!

valver/williams/cup/172 but as you say its all about the insurence on the thing aswell, or a 1.6 clio, prob wont cost a load as its a warm hatch and not a hot one like the others.

the one which was written off as reported by the tv journalists was not a production car (according to stuff posted up on here) it simply had the prototype number one. (this is according so stuff on here) ask stromba for the whole story.
