the engine wiring loom on the 1.2 16v engine is a very common fault, baisically just rubbish, we have replaced 3 this year i think and we are a very small garage, but the just silence has baffled me sorry

if insurance allowed it i would have it apart from spoiler front mesh and sound system, smart motor non the less

saw a 57 reg mondeo go through one at my local garage, from half way up the door down was still plastered in mud, real bad job, and devalued car by loads with all them little tiny stones getting rubed in circles all over body work :eek:

i got my 1.2 at 16 too 3 months before my 17th

i just took the strut out, laid it on the floor then un-did nut, with a few old tyres left on the floor to catch spring etc worked well, and because shorter springs going on front just need one middle weight FATTY to compress spring while you start nut, then reverse previous steps, job done :)...

I really like the blue dash, i wish i had enough guts to take clocks to bits to do it :dapprove:

take a look at his cleaning mats video, it takes 2 seconds per mat to hover, then he puts the hover in his car as its more safe??? then washes them with some fairy liquid lol what a looser!!! lol

if anything the 8 valve engine is more reliable ;) it gets me from a-b and back again so i cant complain, and the police dont stop me as often as they did when i rode my moped, that was 98 db though, loud!!! :o clio is more stealth hehehe

i had a pheasant the size of a bloody cow (honest it was huge!!) hit me on the helmet while riding my bike, popped out of hedge going round a left hand corner, i had a scratch down side of my helmet!! it hurt lol

i was then told that for my next test if i take my mot certificate then i can then do my test, now where on the mot test sheet is bonnet catch??? i dont care i got my mot certificate ready for the free test they hav given me this week ;)

it also depends on the individual cars, cos we have 4 8 valve 1.2 clio's and the 140k mile clio has loads more poke than the red'un, so there are also slight performance differences between same models lol, is it something to do with run in proceedure, or slackness of engine etc???

im surprised the 1.2 16v got to 120k lol we had loads in running poor, and when i think about it i got a 1.4 16v with 28 k lying around anyway lol
