Aye, other half has a standard 106 GTI, love it! She used to have a VTR, i think they are a good drivers car, plenty of lessons to be learnt about handling imo. Just a shame loads fell into the wrong hands :(

Exactly. VTS would be my choice, but a VTR is very underrated, lovely old school lift over over steer hatch imo

They do sit quite high as standard, though if its not level check for broken springs, very common

Bet they are seized,. My 197 pads were seized into the pad carriers, had to be hammered out! Quick strip down/clean up the diference was night and day tbh!

H&R Coilovers! I had them on my 197, now SBV116 has them on his 200 Cup. Feel about the came as a cuppacked car, so perfect for day to day use. Loved them

Whats wrong with the handling? Imo your really splitting hairs. A 3k Cup will be a bag of w**k imo, possibly needing belts, service etc. I chopped in my 197 to a Cup and pocketed 5k, you'll pocket 2 if your lucky. Not worth it imo
