They're not poor-handling at all. Don't lap up the Clarkson review... he just piled on the lock and booted it. Any car with decent torque and front drive would do that. They are capable. That said, the Clio would be, and is, quicker on a twisty track. See EVO's Bedford lap times, for proof.
