Hi all, someone somehwere posted a guide on how to mount tweeters in the a pillars.
Now although i know what i need to do its nice to do a little bit of reading before hand. Only thing is i cant find the fecking thread anywhere!
wasnt sure if i read it on here or over on talk audio.
ALl i...
Been a while since the last update but been doing other projects.
Anyway, since the last update ive fitted my new HU, steering stalk controls still functional! (£35 for the leads for that!!!)
with remote and 8Gb flash Drive, loving this faciltiy! So much better than ipod/cd changers etc...
ah i see so yours is a bass machine then, ive kinda gone opposite to that...hence the Graphic Eq and 8inch sub :) somehting with a little punch but nothing crazy.
I wanna be able to get in my car, turn on the stereo and think, wow thats sounds amazing, a really full rich deep sound from the...
so upwards of 200quid basically, just for a lower seat position!
may take a ook at this myself. cant be too tricky, will have a gander this weekend :) see what i can come up with
9cu ft is huge, what you putting in there, im only using an 8incher so 0.7cuft external for me 0.5cuft internal :) loads of room for that build :)
my basic specificiation is that i wanna still be able to use my boot, i want to be able to access my spare wheel and i want it to look uber cool :)...
Lol, yes, had so many put back its unreal...had to finish of an enginer conversion, build a new engine to order, planned to start it last weekend but had another car in the garage...cant do this weekend as myself and my co builder are busy with other home stuff!
So next week, mid week we will...
So your paying £3000 for them fitted/mapped etc
but thats just bodies, no extra cams involved?
is this price available to everyone, im quite capable of fitting it all myself but if they are offering it for free they i'll take this offer up!
whats is for mate? if its just a simple low current 12v then you can branch of something for the power. rather than battery , but if its for an amp or something heavy duty then battery for sure :)
depends on a number of factors to be honest mate, personally i dont think you'l get that big an increase, graphs reads 180ish now...maybe get a touch more, BUT your torque will improve no end and thats what you'l feel.
Also the car will drive nicer, smoother, you'l get better mpg and the...
oh and them JBL sub boxes are very good.
a mate of mine used to have the old design and for a cheap setup it was brill. Well worth a look for budget system
6x9's = NO!
Headunit that is compatable with Ipod can be had for around £100-120
Component speakers £120
Subwoofer £150
Amp for the sub £150
as a general guide.
Ive spent around £800 on my install, two amps, sub, comps, HU, flash drive, Graphic EQ, wires, connections, distributers...
30mpg is pretty bad, i avergae around 40+, with combined cycle, i use std air box with panel filter and have a ktec exhaust.
getting rid of the filter and maybe put the cat back on, if you have it off already that is.
power (bhp) seems healthy though, as above, torque seems a little off but thats maybe just down to the map.
will sort itself when remapped.
As a general rule, if devaiting from the standard cams, a custom live remap is always the best way forward!
AFR should stick around 14 ish on idle, should go down to 13's on load...which it does insome point but then goes well below on others...
so yes its overfueling, do you get a lot of popping/banging from the exhaust.
When you get this remapped i would 100% defo change the oil too.
Running...
T1-R in the dry on track are shite.
Had them on my saxo (supercharged) for a track day, striahg tline grip was fine but pushing hard into corners i found them folding off the rim s far too easily.
it was that bad that id scrubbed the writing off the tyre walls compeletly.
very poor imo...
plain and simple works best, my plates arent legal BUT they have std sized font, the correct font and the right colour etc so chances of them being noticed are quite slim :)
technically flawed in design to begin with...the corners will have stress points, they wont react as well either...cone will distort...etc etc!
hence why round is such a great shape :)
these sure can boom , heard two of these in the back of a mental saxo but the qaulity i thought was piss poor. especially compared to my JLaudio 12" W6, two of!
good if your not too fussy about how it sounds but like the breeze of bass!
oops, said back to fron i meant back to back! :(
agree with the above statement also.
ive just spent £45 on accessories on my system, proper terminals for ALL the wiring...all crimped properly and heat shrinked. no dodgy twisted and taped up joins!
speakers mounted on baffles with dynamatt...
