Worth getting an optimiser if your not using the car regular. They can be left dissconected and not need charging but only if stored above a certain temperature
No front lights, Horn, Handbrake etc Its not been built to be road going from the beginning. We decided that the cost of mot, insurance and tax would e better off spent racing seeing as we have access to a trailer
Doesnt surprise me. A customer of mine called me coz her car wouldnt start, she said the battery had gone flat. When I opened the bonnet we discovered the battery had actually gone!
I can see where you are coming from mate. But the Oddyssey batteries are a dry cell type. If you cut it open, no acid would leak out. I will check this tho thanks.
The OP said it was for his Nan, i was assuming she wont get bored with the car in a year or so and sell it and was also assuming that she will use the car infequently for short trips. Therefore payng more for a battery to get a very good quality one will be the best option.
