    Not at all. They have a high-grip coating so I can keep a really light touch on the wheel. They're really tight fitting...but look huge due to the external seams.

    It's a gearbox thing for me; I don't need to drive it to know I am not going to like it. If I can't get my left hand and left leg involved I'm not interested. Some other manufacturers have realised this and are offering manual gearboxes on previously auto-only cars. Renault should follow suit...

    Mine's the same, 3rd gear, any speed, nil traction. 4th gear goes too with the tiniest steering input. The roads at the moment are useless. As for the 5k issue...can that be overcome or is it something they're stuck with? My ST is quite revvy up top which I'm glad about!

    These engines are a little different. they can start just fine, idle just fine, drive just fine, feel just fine, but it'll be putting out 150bhp instead of 180bhp because someone who's done cambelts on other cars said "I'll do it, I've done loads before, how hard can it be"?

    I had the exact same thoughts about you sweetcheeks. ESP is variable but traction is either fully on or fully off...I've only done these tests on the road with it on. I'm sure there'll be no change but will give it a go to be sure.

    Having blanked the intake off with a Mountune plug it was worth a shot... It was fascinating seeing how simple but intricate the inner workings of the symposer were.
