I'll say it again, not everyone wants a Meggy? I didnt, bigger class size, turbo etc. I wanted a N/A hot hatch, so it was a 197 or EP3 for me. EP3 lost as its too long in the tooth
They do feel different, but after having a 172 Cup, 182 Cup packed and now a 197 there is no difference in outright pace. I've nudged past a Cup on here (outdragged), and now mines loosened up with 30k + i'm more than happy. Nice place to be with no hard bus streering wheel, stupid high seating...
Totally. I just dont get the whole badge thing on here tbh, looks cheap if not done right imo!! Cups werent out when i got mine, only R27's and they were a wee bit out of budget lol

Mine is a Standard early 197. My mods are H&R coilovers, Recaro seats, painted calipers (Red) and Speedlines. I still have the Silver wheels, but think they look a bit 'weak'...... See a theme in the mods? ;) lol
Its like mine. I started with a standard Cup, then started modding. Exhaust fell off, so replaced it with a decatted Magnex (back in the day ;)) Then lowered it on Gaz, but learnt my lesson with them.... :dead: Replaced them with H&R's = win. Then i replaced the seats with some Cobra...
172/182...... unclick the caf on the right, so its 'resting' on the airbox, but not actually seated in. Does exactly the same, ie more induction noise, with no power loss. Ran my 182 like this
