Possibly mate, what tools do you need exactly?
There is a cam locking tool that fits n the back of the head, a crank locking pin and a cam pulley holding tool (not many people have or use this but its the ONLY way to get it spot on)
They are with someone else atm, should have back soon
wear and tear items such as wheel bearings, shocks might need soing but no big deal. As said cambelt and aux belt isthe biggest concern (make sure they have been done) regualr oil changes (doesnt have to be done at Renault)
My phase1 is on 105k and has had several owners.
Re: My Ph1 172 track sl*g Progress Thread
If that works out as 138bhp then that cant be far off as the last time it was rolling roaded it ran 117bhp @ wheels. 20-25bhp down on everyone else.
That was with a broken Knock sensor and incorect cambelt timing
Mine stood up well at fcs. sidewalls take a pounding on slow/tight corners.
I find them ok in the wet, not as good as some tyres ive had but i cant really compaire coz its the only tyres ive had on THIS car,
Mine have a slot in them but ive read that some dont.
As 'Fringe' said there should be a slotted hole in one of the lower mounting holes. iirc its the top one. You dont NEED camber bolts
Didnt you notice when u fitted them? Not had them set up properly?
Yea silverstone always windy. Almost like Siberia in Febuary when i used to go watch the F1 testing.
Agree about F3 tho, bit dull, slightly better on Tv
