Re the cup spolier, thats what i thought, have you seen one in the flesh? Changed my mind, still not sure, and probably wont but who knows lol!!!! Its dropped a fair bit tbh, the rears have another 10 mm ish to go (maybe more) and the fronts have another 30mm of thread left lol. I just wound it...
Spot on. Had H&R's on all three of my Renaultsports (172 Cup/182) and now the 197. The ride is a tad firmer than mine (non cup chassis) so imo wouldn't be far off what yours feels like now. They are a quality piece of kit, very refined, not harsh or anything. Its great for the B roads by me...
182 with Cup packs you mean ;). The 182 Cup is a watered down version. The Cup badge used to mean track focused, ie PROPER weight saving, more focused suspension, but it kept the Renault Sport steering wheel, sill plates aluminium pedals etc, so in theory a looked and 'felt' like a track car for...
No problemo, i also saved it too ;)
It is hard to capture the 197 properly by a photograph, in true form it has some real persence, the front end especially :)
Does it not say he wants to buy an 06 plate? If so, no cup chassis etc, you'll be getting one of the first, like mine. Just make sure if it has climate, the AC works :)
Use Meguires APC i got mine from Cleanyourcar...... rate it highly, may need a wheel brush to adgitate (sp). If that didnt shift it, i've used Fairy powerspray, trust me it woks!!!!;) Wouldnt use it everydaylol, once a year will suffice, but used it on my 197 alloys, and various other down the...
LOL. Gets a lot of negitive press the engine, but its fantastic imo, as said if the car lost 200kgs or so it would be a right wepon!!!! Even so, had a tussel with an EP3 last night and it was nip and tuck, so its hardly slow......... Have thought about taking out the rear airbags as a starting...
Its not small though, its pretty much meggy size....... It shares the same suspension set up as the meggy 225 (double axis wishbones) already, these were used to combat torque steer. With them already fitted, and a decent chassis, it'll easily take the extra grunt
They actually work quite well out in the sticks, how ever i've disconnected the multiplug to them as they look wrong when driving though a town at nigh for instance, always looks as if your flashing people on the pavement etc
Imo it'll f**k it up, hense why i still havent bothered. As standard to track is 1520mm front and rear. No point spacing them differently as it'll ruin the cars handling........
