    LOL at financial suicide. Maybe some are comfortable with the depreciation. Maybe some plan on keeping it for a long time so it all balances out in the end. If you buy one planning to sell it on in 12-18 months you'd obviously be a bit of a tool.

    Not too much I don't think...the 'box model code is 250 something which I think means 250nm is what it's rated up to...and with 240 standard it won't take much tweaking to be beyond that. A couple of reports so far suggest they're somewhere between 210-225 bhp standard so I'll let others play...

    I tried both, lump hammer and large punch end on, and a thin pin punch trying to turn it. Hadn't thought of cutting a slot and and using an impact driver on it...may try that first before ripping the thing to bits.

    Based on the rear seat space of the Mk4 Clio I sat in, yes, quite a bit bigger. Just looked at Fiesta ST prices...factor in the extra Ford charge to get comparable servicing and warranty cover/schedules to Renault with the 4+ they do and there's only £1,500 between them.

    At base spec levels it's £2k more than a Fiesta, and £3k less than a Focus. I'd say that puts it more up against the Fiesta especially when you consider the Focus is from a size segment above as well.

    Red, no leather, lux, monitor and camera for me. Can't wait for order books to be open tbh. LOL at the wheels...I think the 17s look alright. Plus, cost of rubber is much cheaper from what I can tell.
