Or...it's a dual automatic clutched manual with the option of binary controlled automatic shifts.
Is this what's actually fitted to the Clio RS?
I thought the Clio had one with 250 in its name indicating a max torque figure.
Yep. boring indeed. so obviously boring from a YouTube clip.
Black's the colour of choice I think, allows the silver tat to make sense rather than just clashing with everything.

Valid points, fun is the word everyone seems to be ignoring here. I think most would agree that the 197 is a more fun drive than a Megane (unless headline power figures make you hard)...but everyone's saying the Megane is the better option.
Really?
Quite funny really that the new Clio 200T is...
I'll be f***ed if I don't like driving it.
It's a Renaultsport. Impressions gained so far say it drives very well and is playful enough when you want it to be. A few criticisms about the gearbox don't concern me, and I'm fine going to two pedals as that means I can work more on left foot...

Whilst I still do it from time to time on the road I've moved on from that.
To me the act of driving, the enjoyment of driving, is so much more than just one thing. To say enjoyment can't be had unless you get the opportunity to try and nail the perfectly timed/rev-matched gear change is a bit...
When I think back to how my 205bhp/ton 172 Cup got itself down the road, and then think that performance is available quite easily, with all the toys in this 5 door body, I get pretty excited to be honest.
The only argument I'm now having with myself is do I buy one now or wait 18-36 months...
