Just took some quick snaps for you. My 2000 'W' ph1 172 has three wires but four pins
starting from Closest to the bulkhead end it goes Blank, white, beige, pink

as long as u dont damage the threads in the caliper u should be ok. Personaly id remove it (caliper) from the car and do it in the vice....
They are very hard to track down. A company called Chester exhausts do them.
I got mine local from a company called GMF. I think i paid £50 for a back box
Norich union do it iirc. worked it out for me once and it would of worked out more expensive and i dont do that much milage. Bonus of getting old i supose
