got it to lock now but everytime you tilt the seat it wont lock in again. Took off the right side cover and pushed the lock down. works great, that will do for now. Cheers guys;)

Crank sensor dirty. two 10mm headed bolts on the top of the gearbox. take it out give it a clean in some carb cleaner and refit it. common fault

Supertouring died coz it was too expensive, manufacturers spent millions on research and development. iirc super 2000 reqs mean they have to use off the shelf parts that are the same on all cars. Means they are way cheeper to build and run. But agree the 90's super touring era was legndary...
