Yes to all the above.
You don’t need any sealant. Hub nuts are 180NM.
Does the replacement shaft already have the gaiter clamp fitted? If not, just be careful when putting it back on the new shaft as it’s easy to distort the rubber gaiter, which will mean a leak.
If you drop me a message...
CL6 I found too bitey. They were either on or off. Better on bigger, heavier cars I reckon, not a 920kg 182.
Pagid RS42 had a better feel than the CL6. More Linear but didn't have the same stopping power. Suffered brake fade with these.
DS1.11 best all round pads i've used (DS2500 in the rear)...
Hmmm sounds like it’s something to do with the diagnostic and ODB port, not the sensor as that’s zeroing out, which is what you want.
I‘m really not that technically minded, but the good news is it sounds like you have a healthy sensor as they’re nigh on impossible to find now. I’m wondering if...
All of the above really.
I wouldn't overlook B14s either for general track days.
I had a race-prepared 182 with 750mc SPAX controlled suspension. Set me back around £1,500 with solid top mounts. It was very unforgiving on the roads, but perfect for circuit racing or dedicated track days, as...
Shaftec supply refurbished genuine ones. I'd highly recommend one of those.
More money than the J&R but they're essentially a refurbished genuine part. You want R396R (OSF - Drivers) replaces 8200352042 and R396L (NSF - Passenger) replaces 8200372167.
My first encounter with this phenomenon was when this bloke knocked at my door.
"Hello John, you've got a roof tile missing John. Here I'll show you, John. Just up there John, see that one on the ridge John. Needs replacing John".
And all this time I'm thinking how the feck does he know my...
Not much happening to the car at the moment other than a slight change of direction.
My plan is to add some nice upgrades starting with a new exhaust system from Pure Motorsport. I've had these on both my last two 182s and love them. The design is a work of art and they sound great.
For the...
No I think he’d forgotten 😂
He messaged me to say he was at Donny racing in Hot Hatch series and did I want to come down. Then said he’d just had it mapped at EFi. I’m like, “I told you he’d already done it“ and he’s like “s**t” so you did 🤦🏻♂️
Same power but a bit more torque.
He has plenty...
He did my 182 race car after I got it Group N timed. 2 weeks ago the lad who bought it off me, took it to him for mapping. He asked the lad who had mapped it as it was miles out 😂😂
Good mapper. Bad memory.
Here's a schematic for you as I can't remember myself off the top of my head. I think it's the one nearest the filler cap. It's a while since i did mine. Part numbers are also included.
Wow I’m shocked. I thought you had plans for this one. But off the top of my head, given the low mileage but work that needs doing I’d say £2,500.
As you know mine went for £2,000 due to needing belts, but it was a really well sorted car, despite higher mileage. My 2 cents worth.
Edit - Maybe...
I need a track-going version of it that's more road-friendly. Something I don't have to trailer around and can drive to my local circuit. That's what I'm missing the most, circuit days. I haven't the heart to tear the RB apart. It's too good for that.
I bought my RB in 2021 and paid £5,400 for it. The lad had it up for £6,000 and never got an enquiry. The condition wasn't anywhere near as good as he said it was. But it was far better than everything else I'd seen for the same money. Plus it had potential and the right history.
He still...
