lmao, legend.
Personally I would ring up the insurers and explain to them the situation and make SURE you are okay to drive it without MOT.
It really is that easy to get pulled and if you are found out to be without insurance or MOT they will rape you up the behind.
1. If you want to give it a fresh, tighter feel then you'll probably need to get springs and shocks + a full set of uprated bushes will go a long way.
2. Standard plugs/filters/oil will do fine.
3. Go for it.
4. It's the upper engine mount iirc you have to loosen the bolts and pull the...
Indeed hit and miss I'm on my second clio, the first was an absolute nightmare of a car to have but I loved it to bits thats why I took a chance on getting another and so far so good after just over a month of ownership.
Mine have steel ones on too god only knows why someone would put these on, theres nothing wrong with standard caps so I'll try the aforementioned methods tomorrow.
I got a quote with Adrian Flux with a huge list of mods, some I haven't done yet and it worked out cheaper than insuring the standard car with another company.
Anyway on topic, honestly I would say get your own insurance and then tell them about as many mods as you like but if you are going to...
Just wondering if anyone can advise the best way to go about removing a couple of rust spots on the wheel arch?
I touched them up a few weeks back but only lightly so it seems to have come off with the air being fairly moist and what not.
I'm thinking of taking it to a bodyshop but not sure...
Only Blue-Ray movie I have is Dark Knight which I had to get seeing as imo it's a quality film and it was one of, if not the last film/s the late Heath Ledger was in.
The 1.6 is fairly nippy as standard but I wouldn't bother with remapping it and judging by what you've said you don't look like you are going to pile loads into it so the cost of remapping would be better spent elsewhere.
First off check tyre pressure, it should be at 30/31 psi all round. Then get the car serviced and third, reset the trip computer and take the car for a good run and go from there. If the problem persists then there must be an underlying problem which judging by what you have said you are not...
Personally I would put better components in the front doors but run them off the headunit, forget about the tweeters in the dash just fade the output to the rear slightly and if you put amped components in the rear then you have a decent setup.
Chances are it will be the bush inside the rear gearbox mount that has worn but Renault don't supply just the bush, you have to buy the whole mount but for mine it was only £20 and free fitting.
Never had a decat myself but my dad had a decat on his 216 GTi a few years back and it run like a bag of poop, poor mpg, strong fuel smell, poor idle but it did give it that extra punch in performance.
Obviously we're talking Honda here so a totally different kettle of fish but just a heads up.
Just take it to a place you can trust (ie not kwik fit) it's just a Clio at the end of the day we aren't talkin about a merc/bmw/ferrari etc are we the technology in the whole car is ancient so pretty much any mechanic will know what he's doing, I fail to understand why people would want Renault...
