Yeah that's me lol. I remember yours now, very similar but yours had the splitter and skirts. Very tidy. I've got a Type-R now after Renault messed me about with warranty issues.

I don't know what I've got it set on, the only alterations I made were to switch off driver aids like traction control and stability control. CBA learning to drive with manual gearbox, it's only a computer game ffs lol.

Yeah, I regularly see cars shooting off onto the grass. As Chri5 said it's usually when you're tailgating behind them.

They refused to even look at my gearbox, I think some of the problem is I'd bought it from a Car Supermarket (where I worked) and not from a Renault dealer. My friend who did buy from Renault was dealt with much better.

Agreed, my 197 coped fine with 40k miles of abuse. However, the gearbox felt like it had done 200k miles. :(

I wish Honda and Renault would work together to make a hot-hatch. Renault can't do build quality and Honda can't do charisma, a Clio built by Honda with a Honda gearbox would be sublime. I loved my 197 and with the coilovers you could pretty much drive flat-out everywhere, shame it felt...
