its probably the two nuts that are an absolute tw@t which bolts up the cat to the manifold...... we put the de cat on mine, all nice and tight, then it developed a rattle, on inspection we found these nuts loose again, the cat must have moved slightly (bedded in)
worth a check
it was the rear shocks on mine, they were awfull, maybe just a bad batch? i did indeed fit the rubber cups (only the top half mind as the adjusters sit in the rear trailing arms).... to prove it was the dampers, i fitted the O.E reno units for a day and the noise vanished.... i think it was...
yeah, thats right, the gaz units themselves are the same as the 172 units though.... its a shame you can't get any H&Rs etc for the 182, you either have to pay maga money for leda's etc, or gaz, there is nothing inbetween
the gaz ones are poor, ok for the price, but i beleive FK's are better. on my car the gaz ones were very noisy, especailly the rears, and made the ride very choppy etc, i now have h&R's and the difference is like night and day, MUCH better
did have a momo millenium sat at home in the summer but it was nearly the size of the original, and i wasn't too keen on the center either! sold it on ebay... another smaller momo wheel is in the pipeline ;)
i'm not too sure, i beleive you can get two versions of subframes from cobra...... i'm sure there is an extra low version..... tbh, if they are lower, it aint by alot, still the subframes aint too much to buy (£70) and i might look into that another day
seats are supurb though :approve:
seats were ok, mine had the pre tensioiner recall, so i had to snip the wires,(no plugs) and re solder back together.... i havn't modified em.....yet, has anyone else?
well had abit of a polish today to keep the paint protected underneath all the crap off the roads, and also a few pics of the new seats fitted xmas eve!!! :)
and some of the car
nice and low ;)
i have a viper, and initially i had the caf connected straight to the filter housing... (force fed from the fog light) but imo i found the throttle response alittle 'slack'. I have now pulled the caf about 2-3" away from the filter,(pointing at it) and imo it works much better, the response now...
hows the rear dampers? mine had something like this, and if its lowered on aftermarket springs with O.E dampers they might be shafted.........
just a thought
very nice mate!i've just installed some cobra daytonas today.... question, with regards to the seat belt plug, can you see all the pretentioner workins? you can on mine....
damaged the lambda probe/wiring when jumping over the speed bump..... i had a problem with the plug on the first probe, and everytime i tried to press the loud pedal it spluttered/wouldn't rev etc
check both plugs/probes under the car
well mine was de catted too.... it sounded ok, but then the centre section developed a rattle, majorly pissed me off so i sold it, i prefer it with just the viper on. Miss the tickover sound though :(
