Why didn't you update that thread?
Wait...
BECAUSE THERE IS NO UPDATE.
Jesus.
You owe me 2 minutes of my life, if only scrolling back up was going back in time......
Your number plates are illegal. And the front and back ones aren't the same. Have you declared your James Bond revolving plates?
De-sticker the entire thing, replace wheels for stock. Will look a lot better + cheaper insurance.
Mine is a 51 as well, the connectors looked slightly different to the guide on here. Needless to say using a resistor (and a series of different ones) I did not solve it. you have three options:
1. put up with it (zero cost option) but potential fail of an MOT
2. buy an RS tuner + unlock code +...
It does mate, very suprised to be fair. As I mentioned, I have a 172 which has been fettled (RS tuning remap, matched inlets, ph1 airbox etc) and the 182 would disappear. Quite strange really.
It would make sense (based on the info above) that Alan Jeffrey though the car was str0ng and not...
Wheel looks great.
Mine is also away to Mikey on here after I had discussions with Royalsteeringwheels (which were very slow and unproductive). Good job I stayed well clear.
Thanks James, the car was mapped by you so I thought you did the rr too, guess not.
Previous owner was just that 'a previous owner' and not the one from whom I bought the car.
Worry? - you must be joking. I am just looking through the paperwork - the graph didn't look like others I've seen on here, hence the questions.
No mate, you're missing the point. I don't care about the graphs/power etc. I just don't know a great deal about rolling roads! and wondering...
The new car came with a prinout, like so:
Hmmm... pretty powerful it would seem.
It does 'go' a lot better than the 172 running an arcadian map...
The previous owner states that JMS were impressed with the car, saying its one of the most powerful they've seen - if this graph is to be...
Not my cup of tea, but its quite interesting to watch it transform.
No mate! he gets all giddy about it. Bless, at 52 years old he's like a little kid.
Final ones, managed to upload them at last.
Milltek looks to be hung pretty well.
Sounded suprisingly better with the overrun map.... its a bit boomy with the 98ron, but I really havent done many runs since changing the map, so maybe that may play a part. I can live with it for now, but...
Forgot to answer this mate, apologies. The splitter is (at least I think) the standard one - as the motor was spec'd full fat. As I've got a Skoda splitter on the 172, i can't confirm what the spoiler pack splitter is/looks like - so will have to say its OEM, but its not got a mark on it, in 7...
You'd need to buy that module - not 100% sure it would do it even if you did, was convinced it was a Renault Clip job - but it seems to be offered on fastchips website.
For half the money, you could travel to Mick @ diamond motors - or some other specialist and have it switched off properly...
Slight update.
Went round for sunday lunch at mums to find the old boy just finishing up a few hours work on the Volvo.
Not the most powerful lump in the world. The 1800 is an pushrodder and it'll be lucky to output 90hp nowadays. The engine turns, but he hasn't fired it up yet as he's...
